Organising a group trip to the snow starts with a message in your WhatsApp group chat: ‘Who’s up for it?’. And then it’s time to plan: dates, ski passes, accommodation, transport…
However, when you’re getting together with a group of friends – whether small or large – agreeing on everything can be quite a challenge. That’s why good organisation in advance is key to ensuring everything goes to plan, so that all you have to worry about is enjoying a well-deserved holiday in the snow.

The first step is to find dates that suit everyone. It may seem simple, but the larger the group, the trickier it is to coordinate everyone’s schedules.
Ideally, you should start organising the trip well in advance, especially if you’re planning to travel at weekends, over Christmas, Carnival, Easter or other peak periods.
Booking in advance also means you’ll find more availability for group apartments in Andorra and can choose the accommodation that best suits the number of travellers and your needs.

Before you start making bookings, it’s a good idea to agree on roughly how much you want to spend per person. The budget should cover accommodation, transport, ski passes, equipment hire, meals, activities on the slopes and après-ski. And make sure to set aside a bit for the unexpected.
Once you’ve set a rough figure, it’ll be much easier to make decisions without having to check every little expense.
Staying in a self-catering flat can be a very practical way to keep to your budget. Having a kitchen means you can make breakfast before heading out to ski, organise group dinners or whip up a quick meal when you get back from the slopes, thereby reducing your daily spending on restaurants.

One of the keys to organising a stress-free group trip to the snow is to avoid having just one person take care of everything.
You can share out the responsibilities: one person can search for and book accommodation, another can compare ski passes and equipment hire, another can organise transport, and another can be in charge of putting together a list of restaurants, activities and après-ski plans.
A shared document or even the WhatsApp group itself can be used to centralise bookings, timetables, expenses and any other important information.

When travelling in a group, improvising can be tricky and much more expensive. Finding enough accommodation or hiring equipment for everyone at the last minute is almost impossible.
That’s why, once you’ve decided on your dates, it’s best to make the main bookings as soon as possible. As well as accommodation, ski passes, ski or snowboard hire and any activities you’d like to do are other services worth booking in advance. That way, when you arrive in Andorra, you’ll save time queuing and waiting to buy your ski pass or hire equipment on the day.

It’s not just about having somewhere to sleep, but about having a comfortable space where you can all be together.
Fully equipped holiday apartments are an attractive option for groups of friends. Having a living room, kitchen and separate areas allows you to share moments together without sacrificing a degree of independence.
Being able to arrive at the apartment, settle in and prepare a meal together makes the accommodation itself part of the experience.
